Adult Drug Court Research to Practice Initiative
The National Center for State Courts has teamed with American University for an Adult Drug Court Research to Practice (R2P) Initiative to promote the timely dissemination of information emerging from research on addiction science, substance abuse treatment, and adult drug court programs. With funding from BJA and the National Institute of Justice, the R2P Initiative will produce a series of webinars, webcasts, and other work products that disseminate important research to practitioners and policymakers.

Tribal Justice CTAS Training and Technical Assistance Solicitation

The FY 2019 CTAS Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) opportunity seeks TTA to provide support for three specific BJA grant programs that are included in the Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) and to support tribes in critical areas of their justice systems: CTAS Purpose Areas 2, 3 and 10. Webinar: Adult Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court Planning, Training, Technical Assistance and Resource Center Initiative

Register to participate in a March 21 webinar about the FY 2019 Adult Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court Planning, Training, Technical Assistance and Resource Center Initiative funding opportunity. The presenter will discuss the purpose and goals of this opportunity, review eligibility requirements, funding categories, and address frequently asked questions. Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) for State Prisoners Program

BJA has released the FY 2019 RSAT for State Prisoners Program solicitation. This program assists state, local, and tribal governments in the development and implementation of substance use treatment programs in correctional and detention facilities, as well as in the creation and maintenance of community reintegration services for formerly incarcerated individuals. Apply by: April 30, 2019.



Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program

Through the FY 2019 Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program, BJA is seeking applications to establish or enhance drug court services, to include coordination, management of drug court participants, and recovery support services. Apply by: April 16, 2019.



BJA Grant Applicant Education Series Webinars

BJA recently led a series of four educational webinars designed to assist potential applicants interested in applying for FY 2019 funding opportunities. Recordings of the webinars will soon be available to those who were unable to attend.

A preadjudication diversion program designed to divert juveniles with mental health needs away from the juvenile justice system through specialized supervision and case management.

A program that provides a unique forum for addressing violence in Milwaukee, Wis., by engaging law enforcement and other stakeholders in the community to assess and evaluate the cause of homicides in efforts to prevent future incidents.

InnerChange Freedom Initiative (Minnesota)
A voluntary, faith-based prisoner reentry program that attempts to prepare inmates for reintegration into the community, employment, family, and other significant relationships through educational, values-based programming.

Too Good for Drugs—Middle School
A school-based drug prevention program designed to reduce students’ intention to use alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs, while promoting prosocial attitudes, skills, and behaviors.

Teenage Health Teaching Modules
A comprehensive school health curriculum for grades 6 to 12. By addressing various health issues, the curriculum aims to positively affect student health knowledge, attitudes, practices, and behaviors.
